These terms apply to your use of Basement Help Network, operated by Isaiah Infante ("we"). By using the site or sending a form, you agree to them.
1. A referral service
We connect people with independent local companies and are paid by those companies for referrals. We don't perform basement finishing work, and we aren't a party to any agreement between you and a company. The companies are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. They set their own prices and are solely responsible for their work, licensing, permits, insurance and warranties. We are not affiliated with any government agency, building department or utility.
2. Information only, not advice
Our guides summarize public sources for general information. They aren't professional, engineering, legal, tax or financial advice. Rules, fees, programs and prices change; confirm with the responsible agency or utility and get written bids.
3. No guarantees
We don't guarantee that a company will be available in your area or respond within any time, that it will charge any price shown in our guides, or that you'll qualify for any program or rebate. Prices on this site are published figures from cited sources, not quotes.
4. Your request, calls and texts
When you send the quote form, you direct us to send what you entered to one local basement finishing contractor serving your area, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you agree to the consent statement on the form, that one company may call and text you about your request at the number you entered, including with an autodialer, prerecorded or AI-generated voices and automated texts. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out any time by replying STOP, telling the caller, or writing to us through our contact form.
You confirm that the phone number you enter is yours (or one you're authorized to use) and that the information is accurate. Don't enter someone else's number.
5. Acceptable use
Don't submit false information or automated or abusive requests, or try to interfere with the site.
6. Disclaimer and limit of liability
The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any company you hire. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to $100. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
